Got up at 3 am;; worked out sports club LA; Pitched a CAA nut job and then the anchor woman from E! Then I went to Beverly Hills Hotel and grabbed a coffee and then to Leonard Nimoys house and dropped off package for $$$. Then, Rev. Schuller, the richest TV Evangilist in the world said he woulf pray for me but would not pony up a $7500 doantion.. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This steel-grey-eyed stud traded in his world record for appearing on more reality shows than anyone else... when he realized he could use his tenacious persistence and determination to change the world through filmmaking!!! Because SUCCESS has an uncanny way of slipping in through the back door disguised as FAILURE. "I reject your rejection!" Steven C. Barber, a national TV personality with a face for radio, is emerging as the expert in Hollywood crime and is stealing the spotlight where greed and nepotism intersect ... for example when he sneaked his way onto "Curb Your Enthusiasm" having his cake and eating it too, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno three years in a row, or broke through to appear on CNN three times in a single year.

Steven Barber is an award winning, Oscar contending, documentary filmmaker from Santa Monica with a background in journalism and Film/TV production. Mr. Barber has just recently completed two feature documentaries dealing with socially conscious issues. The first film, American Paraplegic, now titled Unbeaten, was on the Oscar qualified list for documentary and also on the Oscar shortlist for Best Original Song. This inspirational film is narrated by Blues Brothers front man Dan Aykroyd. This is a story about giant triumph over overwhelming odds and culminates at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic games. Mr. Barber's second documentary, Return to Tarawa is a moving and poignant film about 89-year-old WWII Veteran Leon Cooper who was involved in the most horrific battle of the 20th century, America lost 1,113 Marines in 76 hours of brutal fighting. Steven takes Mr. Cooper back to the battle site to try to right a great wrong that has been festering for 7 decades. Ed Harris is Narrator. Return to Tarawa is airing for 4 years on the Discovery Network's Military Channel. It triggered Congress to pass legislation and a JPAC sequel is now in post production.

Mr. Barber has been in the entertainment industry for 25 years and also just completed his first novel, "Below the Waterline." This whimsical tale is loosely based on Mr. Barber's tenure as a young boy on 19 cruise ships as DJ, Port Lecturer and Cruise Director in the mid 80s and early 90s.

Mr. Barber is presently actively accepting funding and distribution for his next two films (and possibly a reality TV project called MIA HUNTERS) that will seek to bring home missing service men from WWII, with written invitation/permission from JPAC and Discovery's Military Channel. Mr. Barber is currently in post production on his next two documentaries.

The word "thanks" is inadequate where it concerns the extraordinary public service that film maker Steven C. Barber has accomplished through his award-winning documentary series that first cast the spotlight of public scrutiny onto the disgraceful conditions of American grave sites located on the Pacific island of Tarawa, where hundreds of fallen Marines and Sailors valiantly laid down their lives during the ferocious WWII battle for that island. Were it not for "Return to Tarawa" the remains of these fallen warriors would have remained for eternity in a final resting place that would have forever disgraced their monumental contributions to the blessings of freedom that every citizen of this country enjoys. Steven Barber's films remind us all of what these brave men did for their country, and reminded their country what we owe them in return. Thanks to these films, hundreds of Anerican heroes have finally been welcomed home in a manner befitting their service to America. Steven, I know your film Return To Tarawa. I know folks at JPAC in Hawaii and remember forwarding an e mail to them about the unspeakable shame that we have so many left on that Island who were buried under parking lots and garbage dumps. I assume you are aware of my work on behalf of our veterans, wounded, active duties, Goldstar families and many other efforts I am involved in with regards to those who serve our country. I admire your work and mission and would love to talk to you about your film. I head over to Kanehoe Bay and Schofield Barracks tonight to begin my band year with two shows for the USO. I usually begin my band year in Hawaii and last year had the privilege of visiting JPAC. I was looking forward to dropping in there again. My best to you for a job well done on both these films.
